Friend Worry = Writer's Block

Nothing like having a visiting friend end up in the ER, then admitted and then put into emergency surgery to completely drain an author of the will and ability to do anything but be there for her. At least the hospital is a good one and she likes it.

Stupid thing is that everything she has gone through makes me think, "This is how most plague and horror movies start. Even the bad ones."

I remember my own writing progress shutting down completely when my wife had to go in for knee surgeries.

I hope your friend is okay and out of the hospital soon.
