So, my Norwescon schedule is a little odd this year. I have two readings and two critiques but no panels. It should be a great convention as Norwescon is suffering from an embarrassment of riches where authors are concerned. This means the parties and BarCon should be packed with some of the most delightful people in the business.

Also, the head of programming, Rob Stewart, has some ideas about guerilla programming throughout the convention. So, unexpected author may be unexpected. Keep your eyes open for this coolness to come. Otherwise, I may haunt the author readings because I've not heard a lot of my friends read before.

Finally, Apex Publications will be in the Dealers Room. Thus, three of us (me, Maggie and Deb) who read for Apex will be there to chat and sell you books. This includes the brand new CLOSE ENCOUNTERS OF THE URBAN KIND which features a bevy of local authors.

So, to find me, come to a reading or see me at the Apex Publications dealer's table.

Yeah, all the gaming panels have less people on the panels overall... I know last year we had like 6 people on the panel!

I will never forget R.A. Salvatore coming in and telling the room he wants to hire women. That was awesome.

That was pretty awesome. Do you know whatever happened with that?

I don't know, I can't move to the East Coast but the company he works for has some cool initiatives.
