A Very Good Writing Day

1. 14 A+ Pages for the "pays the bills" gig.
2. 1600 words on Proverbial Monsters to finish out the rough draft of monster #9.
3. 1500 words of Shadowrun fiction that hopefully will be accepted into a new Shadowrun sourcebook.
4. Listened and critiqued 4 alpha reads of my stories for my upcoming audio CD of stories.
5. Introduced two writers to each other because I think they'd be good for each others' writing careers.
I think I've done enough for today. The life of a fulltime freelancer means that you get to pick which 70 hours of the week you work.
It's been a good day.

5. Helping other people's careers? Thats a great feeling.
I thought the life of a fulltime freelance meant that you get to pick which of the 5 hours a week you get to sleep. *grin*

5. I did it partly because I didn't have time to discuss with the writer what was wrong with his story. Also because I believe that everyone benefits from reading a stranger's story to critique and from receiving a stranger's critique.
I should run panels on what it is like to be a fulltime freelance author. From the schedule to the taxes to the hustling for gigs.
