Proofing

I was going to do some navel gazing about things from the Rainforest Village Writers Retreat but I ended up getting two books in to do final proofs on. As in "this is your last chance to find mistakes and modify the document but you need to be really careful and specific with your changes. So that's what I'm doing now. This is what it looks like:

(After a brief panic at not saving the modified document in the correct file and having find it in the temp folder...)

Page 20 – misspelled word – 'stops' became 'steps'
Page 27 – punctuation – 'yet one" became "yet. One"
Page 28 – word change – "to myself and that" to "to myself. It"
Page 35 – word change – "toll" became "fee"
Page 40 – word change – "For the next eight months" became "For eight months"
Page 60 – words added – "and charge $110" became "and a charge of $110"
Page 63 – word removed –"year now, so" became "year, so"
Page 81 – words removed – "if you or your financial advisor, want" became "if your financial advisor wants"
Page 86 – word change – "You may discover" became "You will discover"
Page 108 – word added – "bathroom, food" became "bathroom, or food"
Page 110 – word added – "decisions better" became "decisions on better"


It is long, exhausting, detailed work and my brain is currently mush.
