Rainforest Village Writers Retreat

I had the fabulous opportunity to go to the Rainforest Village Writers Retreat this year. It was better than I could have hoped for. I learned a lot and I'm still processing a lot. Since I don't really have anything other to say right now, I'll just do my usual "10 Things that May or May Not Have Happend at the Rainforest Village Writers Retreat." 5 of these are true. 5 of these are false.

1. Patrick Swenson (AKA [livejournal.com profile] tbclone47) may or may not have offered me a cherry.

2. I may or may not have fondled Jay Lake's (AKA [livejournal.com profile] jaylake) sexy, sexy head.

3. Ken Scholes (AKA [livejournal.com profile] kenscholes) may or may not have made up a new religion in my name.

4. I may or may not have written more than 13,000 words.

5. I may or may not have won more "points" than Shannon Page (AKA [livejournal.com profile] calendula_witch) this retreat.

6. I may or may not have made a brief appearance as the Bacon Fairy.

7. Jim Van Pelt (AKA [livejournal.com profile] jimvanpelt) may or may not have become my new literary crush.

8. John Pitts (AKA [livejournal.com profile] bravado111) may or may not have promised to murder me in his next novel.

9. I may or may not have come home with more food than I arrived with.

10. I may or may not have made an enemy of the Canadian contingent of the retreat.

Jim Van Pelt is tremendously nice, cool, and awesome. I like his stories a lot, and his LJ posts on teaching writing to high schoolers.

Sounds like it was a great retreat!
