Are you an artist looking to build your portfolio?

Are you an artist who likes helping out small press publisher?

Want a chance to work with Apex?

I’m in need of somebody to assist with the design and creation of magazine advertising, back-of-the-book advertising, creating web banners, posters, marketing material, etc.

What about the uber-talented Justin Stewart? He’s still around. I keep him busy making jaw-dropping book cover designs and other assorted artistic needs. Fortunately, the business has expanded to the point where we need another paintbrush in the team.

If you’re interested, shoot me an email at jason@apexbookcompany.com. A few samples of your work would be nice along with providing a brief introduction.

You should know, this isn’t a paying job unless you count payment in Apex books as a form of currency.

Oh. Too bad it's not paying. I still recommend [livejournal.com profile] saintartaud because she gave me a great deal with the Teddy Bear for Teddy Bear Cannibal Massacre and I want to get her jobs in absence of the lack of money that I couldn't pay her (especially when I'm trying to Cafe Press that design for t-shirts and key chains).

Still can you get her better jobs if you look into her stuff and hire her?

I know. I wish it was paying. I know Jason does, too, but he was just laid off. Jason is awesome with compensation in the payment of books. He's aware that artists should be compensated in some way.
